Requested seed quantity: 220 kg/ha
- a value between 65 and 70 is obtained from the table. As
previously described it is advisable to set the distributor
opening at a lower value, in this case value 65 will be set
- 21 kg are obtained from the rotation test
- this amounts to approx. 5% less than the requested value
- also increase the adjusting value by 5%, thus reaching 68
- 22 kg are obtained from the second rotation test.
The chart values are only approximate, since the specific weight
and the size of the granules often differ. It is, therefore
recommended that a rotation test be performed. The amount
measured with that test is then constantly output.
ATTENTION
During dosage trials with planting units with double
metering devices, ascertain that each one delivers the
desired quantity of seed, in keeping with the distribution
table.

3.3 FERTILIZER DISTRIBUTOR
The doser (fig.12) the most important part for seeder operation,
is located underneath the fertilizer hopper. Motive power is
transmitted to it by the drive wheel through gears (with ratios
proportional to the width of the work to be carried out) and
chains. The screw rod (D) enables the degree to which the
gate opens to be adjusted depending on the value of the
graduated scale, calculated using the table and the distribution
test (chapter 3.3.2). The maximum quantity that can be
delivered is 420kg/ha. Do not use the seed-metering device
to distribute fertiliser.
Important! Use only nitrogenized fertilisers. The use of
other fertilisers may increase the wear on the metering
Do not close the gate when there are seeds inside the
doser: this would result in the dosing parts being broken.
The locking spring (E fig. 16) enables the opening range of the
gate to be modified which, in turn, modifies the capacity of the
dosing roller at the same time.
For fertiliser distribution, always work with the metering roller at
maximum capacity, that is, work with the blocking spring in
position "E1" (Fig. 29).
Do not close the gate when there are seeds inside the
doser: this would result in the dosing parts being broken.
When correctly placing the locking spring a click will be
heard indicating that the operation has been completed
successfully.
