The ratio N (Z12 - Z12) is advised for the distribution of normal
seeds while the ratio M (Z12 - Z24) is recommended for small
seeds. The screw rod (D) enables the degree to which the
gate opens to be adjusted depending on the value of the
graduated scale, calculated using the table and the distribution
test (chapter 3.2.3). The maximum quantity that can be
delivered is 420kg/ha. Do not use the fertiliser-metering
device to distribute seeds.
ATTENTION
Do not close the gate when there are seeds inside the
doser: this would result in the dosing parts being broken.
The locking spring (E fig. 12) enables the opening range of the
gate to be modified which, in turn, modifies the capacity of the
dosing roller at the same time.
The position "E1" (Fig. 14) enables the gate to be opened on a
graduated scale, ranging from 0 to 110, with maximum capacity
of the dosing roller; in the "E2" position, on the other hand,
there is a gate opening range of 0 to 25 and the capacity of the
roller is reduced. It is important always to remember to close
the gate completely (0 on the graduated scale) in order to
invert the position of the locking spring (E).
ATTENTION
Do not close the gate when there are seeds inside the
doser: this would result in the dosing parts being broken.
When correctly placing the locking spring a click will be
heard indicating that the operation has been completed
successfully.
3.2.3 DISTRIBUTOR ADJUSTMENT AND TEST
DISTRIBUTOR ADJUSTMENT
The seeding table 19660060 and 19702800 (page 14), contains
the instructions for suitably distributing the seeds. The data
that must be taken into consideration for proceeding with the
job are: size and type of seed (small or normal size, e.g. wheat
or colza), quantity in kg to be distributed per hectare.
Size and type of seeds: adjust the distributor according to the
selected seed (see table 19660060).
The quantity of seed per hectare is adjusted by the metering
device (Fig. 15) by varying the opening of the sliding gate (F)
by means of the threaded rod (D), to the corresponding value
in the left-hand column of the seed distribution table 19702800
(table page 30).

USE AND MAINTENANCE
DISTRIBUTOR TEST
Once the distributor has been adjusted, a test has to be carried
out to check the correct seed distribution, as the table values
are purely reference values, owing to the diversity often found
in size and specific weight of the seeds.
Shut the slide valve sompletely with the seedhopper empty.
Add a small seed quantity (approx. 40 kg) inside the hopper,
adjust the slide opening of the distributor to a slightly smaller
value than the one indicated in the table 19702800 and
corresponding to the quantity to distribute per hectare. Remove
the curve positioned under the injector channel and place a
bowl underneath. With the gear ratio N make 80 turns of the
handwheel (equal to 1/10 hectare) and multiply the result by
10.
With transmission ratio M installed, rotate the
handwheel 40 times and multiply the result by 10.
During dosage trials with planting units with double
metering devices, ascertain that each one delivers the
desired quantity of seed, in keeping with the distribution
table.
Of the value obtained is less or greater than that required, open
or close the gate by a few units and repeat the test.
Do not close the gate when there are seeds inside the
doser: this would result in the dosing parts being broken.
Once the test has been finished, fasten the curve again to the
injecting tube. By doing so, make sure that the curve flange is
in a balanced position with regard to the tube.
