3. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug wrench.
4. Examine the spark plug. Replace it if the electrodes
are burned or if the insulation has cracks or
damages. If the spark plug is not damaged, clean
it with a steel brush.
5. Measure the electrode gap and make sure that it is
correct. Refer to
Technical data on page 36 .
6. Bend the side electrode to adjust the electrode gap.
7. Put the spark plug back in and turn it by hand until it
touches the spark plug seat.
8. Tighten the spark plug with the spark plug wrench
until the washer is compressed.
9. Tighten a used spark plug ⅛ of a turn more, and a
new spark plug ¼ turn more.
CAUTION:
tightened correctly can cause damage to
the engine.
10. Attach the spark plug cap.
CAUTION:
engine if the spark plug or ignition cable
is removed.
To replace a fuse
1. Remove the right side cover. Refer to
and install the right side cover on page 24 .
2. Replace the blown fuse with a new one. Refer to the
illustration. (1) Ignition, 15A. (2) Auger control, 7.5A.
(3) Actuator, 30A. (4) Power outlet 12V, 7.5A.
To charge the battery
1. Tilt the seat forward.
2. Remove the rubber cap (1) from the solenoid that is
connected to the red cable from the battery.

3. Connect the red cable (+) from the battery charger to
the solenoid (2).
CAUTION:

4. Connect the black cable (-) from the battery charger
to a zinked metal part as shown in the illustration (3).

5. Start the battery charger.
Note:
If the battery voltage is too low the
battery goes into protective mode. The battery
charger can not sense the battery and does not
charge. If this occurs, press and hold the reset
button on the battery charger for 10 seconds
until it starts to charge. Read more in the
instructions that are supplied with the battery
charger.
6. When the battery is charged, stop the charger and
disconnect it from the battery.
7. Put the rubber cap (1) back on the solenoid.
