Intended use
The STIHL PS 3000.0 portable power supply
provides an electric power tool with energy.
The portable power supply can be used in the
rain.
WARNING
■ Using the portable power supply for purposes
for which it is not designed may result in seri‐
ous or fatal injuries and damage to property.
► Use the portable power supply as described
in this user manual.
4.3
Requirements concerning the
user
WARNING
■ Users without adequate instruction cannot rec‐
ognize or assess the risks involved in using
the portable power supply. The user or other
persons may sustain serious or fatal injuries.
► Read, understand and keep the user
manual.
► If the portable power supply is passed on to
another person, always give them the user
manual.
► Make sure that the user meets the following
conditions:
– The user is rested.
– The user is capable of operating the
portable power supply in terms of their
physical, sensory and mental capacity.
If the user is able to operate the equip‐
ment but has physical, sensory or men‐
tal restrictions, the user may only work
with the equipment under the supervi‐
sion of or after receiving instruction from
a responsible person.
– The user can recognize and assess the
dangers of the portable power supply.
– The user is an adult, or is being trained
in an occupation under supervision
according to national regulations.
– The user has received instruction from a
STIHL servicing dealer or a competent
person before using the portable power
supply for the first time.

Working area and surroundings
WARNING
■ Bystanders, children and animals cannot rec‐
ognize or assess the dangers of the portable
power supply. Bystanders, children and ani‐
mals may be seriously injured.
► Keep bystanders, children and animals
away from the work area.
► Make sure that children cannot play with
the portable power supply.
■ The portable power supply is not protected
against all environmental influences. If the
portable power supply is exposed to certain
environmental influences it may catch fire,
explode, or be irreparably damaged. This may
result in serious injury to people and damage
to property.
► Protect the portable power supply
against heat and fire.
► Do not throw the portable power
supply into a fire.
► Do not store the portable power supply out‐
side the specified temperature limits,

microwaves.
► Protect portable power supply from chemi‐
cals and salts.
► Do not operate the portable power supply in

on an easily combustible surface.
► If the portable power supply needs to be
used on a working platform or a safe scaf‐
fold, secure the portable power supply
against falling using the fall protection
device.
■ If the portable power supply is used as a work
surface, the portable power supply may be
damaged. Persons may be injured or property
damaged.
► Do not use the portable power supply as a
work surface.
