depending on how you position the Velcro fasteners.
19 ADJUSTING THE DEPTH OF THE FOOTREST:
To adjust the depth of the footrest, loosen the two
knobs under the seat (Fig. a) and push the two tubes
forwards or internally (Fig. b).
20 To pull the footrest out, push the two tubes outwards
as far as they will go in the direction of the footrest
(Fig. c).
To pull the footrest back, do the opposite, pushing
the tubes inwards as far as they will go (Fig. d).
When you have chosen the position you require,
tighten the two knobs.
21 ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE FOOTREST: the
height can be adjusted as needed. Open the two
zips at the front (Fig.a). At the back of the footrest,
unscrew the knobs that loosen the footrest (Fig. b).
Reposition it as needed by moving it up or down
(Fig.c). Once it is at the desired height, screw on the
knobs at the back to fix the footrest. IMPORTANT:
always close the two zips (Fig.d).
When raising or lowering the footrest, it is advisable
to adjust the height of the seat pad in section 21.
22 FOOT BELTS: To open the buckles, press the
extremities and unfasten (Fig a). There are adjustable
buckles underneath for greater adherence to the foot
(Fig b). To loosen the foot belt, adjust the buckles
(Arrow 1); to tighten the belt around the feet, pull as
shown by arrow 2.
23 ADJUSTING THE SEAT PAD:
there are 3 positions (Fig a).
Before adjusting it into the desired position:
- unbutton the side pads,
- unfasten the Velcro strap underneath the seat of the
upper pad,
- remove them and set them aside.
Unfasten under the seat the two Velcro straps of the
abduction belt (Fig b)
from the front and extract it upwards (Fig c).
The abduction belt must be extracted and
repositioned at the same height chosen for the
seat; there are 3 available positions (fig.d).
Now you can reposition it.
Having repositioned the upper pad and the
abduction belt, reposition the other elements at the
same desired height:
- position on the front seat the upper pad and fasten its
Velcro strap under the seat (section 7b),
- the side pads with Velcro fasteners, under the upper
pad and the two side buttons to attach to the seat
(section 30b),
- attach the abduction belt's Velcro straps under the
seat and button them up again from the front (section
30a).
24 FOLDING THE CHASSIS WITH THE YPSI SEAT ATTACHED:
the Ypsi Seat can be folded while still attached to the
chassis only if it is world-facing.
To do so:
- fold down the hood,
- close the footrest by pushing it inwards (fig. a),
- press the levers on the upright (fig.b) and fold the
Ypsi Seat on itself (fig.c).
25 WARNING: If the seat is mum-facing it cannot
be folded attached onto the chassis. It must be
unfastened (fig_a).
It can take up less room when folded (fig_b) .
26 OPENING THE CHASSIS WITH YPSI SEAT ATTACHED:
Press the side attachment fastener downwards, grip
the upper ends of the handle bar and rotate them
towards you until the chassis opens completely
(fig_a). Ypsi chassis open (fig_b). A "click" sound
means it has opened correctly and corresponds to the
attachment onto the base. Next, open the Ypsi Seat
from the ends, pulling it until it clicks (fig_c).
27 FOLDING THE CHASSIS WITH YPSI SEAT ATTACHED:
put the front wheels in locked position (fig_a), lower
the handle bar to the lowest position (fig_b). Rotate
the safety lever to the left (fig_c) and, at the same
time, pull the frame's internal handle bar towards you
(fig_d).
Lift the handle bar until the frame is completely
folded (fig_e).
To fold correctly, check the side fastener is engaged. If
it has not engaged automatically, compress the frame
slightly. The folded stroller is free-standing .
REMOVING THE FABRIC CASES:
- Unfasten the seat from the chassis.
- Unfasten the front bar from the seat.
28 To remove the hood cover: unfasten the 2 buttons
near the pivots (fig_a), then press the buttons on the
two attachments and remove the hood (fig_b). Lastly,
extract the two rigid supports (fig_c) and detach the
hood.
29 Open the zip under the seat that attaches the sack to
the horizontal bar (fig_a).
Unfasten the two buttons at the side of the seat, on
both sides (Fig. b).
Fold the seat slightly by pressing the hooks on the
side slightly upwards (fig_c).
30 Remove the sack fabric on the upper part (fig_d) by
pulling it over the backrest adjusting handle (fig_e).
Open both zips on the footrest,
unfasten the Velcro strap and lift the middle fabric
flap between the two zips (fig_f).
31 Remove the sack from the tube (fig.g) and extract the
elastic (fig.h) removing the whole sack.

- unfasten all Velcro straps on the backrest and seat,
- lastly, extract the rigid ribbing from the sack (fig.i).
32 Remove all the pads that are present by unbuttoning
them as shown in the picture and unfasten all Velcro
straps as shown (fig.a - b).
Under the seat there is a Velcro strap that must be
unfastened so that the seat's pad can be removed
from above (Fig.c).
33 The cover of the headrest's pad can be removed by
opening the zip (fig. a).
The black pads inside the chest belts can be removed
by unfastening the Velcro straps (Fig b).
34 The cover of the two small side pads can also be
removed by opening the zip (fig. c).
The cover of the seat pad can be removed by
detaching the Velcro strap from under the seat itself
and opening the zip (fig. d).
35 A larger seat reducer is provided; it must be used
when increasing the seat's depth (section 15).
Postural additions may be made to the YPSI seat
to better meet the child's needs. There are many
additional features/options that an orthotist may
use, such as the option of inserting containment
wedges in the posterior part of the backrest
(lumbar support, lateral trunk supports, etc.) using
extra Velcro straps or the ones that are already
present. It is also possible to add leg containment
by attaching two wedges under the leg padding.
WARNING: these additions can only be made by an
orthotist or healthcare professional.
