lightweight thread for bobbin thread.
It is advisable to use a #'11 blue stretch needle
when sewing Imits and synthetic fabrics,
You can obtain buttonholes
with wider cutting
space by setting stitch width at 1 _5 instead of 2.

Remove the extension

Raise the
needle to its highest position by turning the handwheet coun-
terclockwise. Remove the foot holder. Pull bobbin thread
about 3" (7.0 cm) straight back toward the rear of the ma-
chine. Insert the hook of the base plate (_) into the rectangu-
lar hole on the needle plate (_). Pull lever ® back to align the
hook with the rectangular hole. Snap base plate ® down to
fit the two pins (_ at the back of base plate into the two round
holes on needle plate (_) Release the lever.
