The illustration to the left shows how the handpiece should be held
during treatment.
Always keep the instrument in motion, either up and down the tooth
or across the proximal surface in lingual or buccal direction away
from the tooth.
CAUTION! Always hold the instrument so that the motion of the
tip is parallel to the tooth surface. Only slight pressure should be
applied.
