FITTING THE BRAKES
ALL THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS ARE TO BE PERFORMED BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER
To fit the brakes, you need the following tools:
10 torx key
allen key set
side cutter pliers
cable housing ends
cable ends
Front brakes
1 / Fit the cable housing in the stem by
threading it as shown in Fig. g.
2 / Place the stem on the fork steerer tube
and adjust the angular position of the
stem. Tighten the stem using a 4 mm BTR
key to 15 Nm torque (for more information,
refer to the Aerostem instructions).
3 / Slide the cable housing in the fork steerer
tube to the inter-branch leaving the cable
housing protrude by 15 mm (Fig. h).
4 / At the stem, tighten the cable housing
and cut it to 30 mm (Fig. h). Put on a
brake cable housing tip.

5 / Along the handlebar, position a cable
housing from the brake lever, cut it
at 30mm from the stem and put on a
cable housing tip.
6 / Fit the quick-release at the end of this
cable housing, ensuring that it is closed
position, then slide the greased brake
cable into the assembly. Then slide the
cable into the cable housing positioned
in the stem until it comes out by the
inter-branch.
7 / Fit the wheel and adjust the position of
the pad by centring it on the braking
band (fig. k).
8 / Postion the plastic tube on the end
of the cable and insert the assembly
into the angled tube. Slide everything
until the cable housing is up against at
the bottom of the socket.
9 / Engage the angled tube in the pulling
part of the left outer lever.
10 / Push the tube into the fork by pulling
the cable housing at the stem, until it is
in its final position.
11 / Cut the bellows at 23mm. Position it
up to the elbow, thread the cable
through the cable clamp and position it
in the right outside lever (fig.l).
