Damage to the inverter due to electrostatic discharge
The internal components of the inverter can be irreparably damaged by electrostatic
discharge.
• Ground yourself before touching any component.
13. Use an appropriate measuring device to ensure that
no voltage is present at the AC terminal block
between L1 and PE, L2 and PE, L3 and PE, L1 and
L2, L2 and L3 and L1 and L3. Insert the test probe
into each round opening of the terminal.
14. Loosen the screws (TX30 x 50) at the AC terminals L1, L2, L3 and pull out the insulated
conductors. Insulate the cable ends properly to avoid injuries. Ensure that the grounding
conductor is connected.
15. Ensure that no voltage is present at the DC inputs of the inverter using a suitable measuring
device. Insert the test probe into each round opening of the terminal.
16. Loosen the screws (TX 30 x 50) at the DC terminals and pull out the insulated conductors.
Insulate the cable properly to avoid injuries.
5.2
With two-piece enclosure lid
Prior to performing any work on the inverter, always disconnect it from all voltage sources as
described in this section. Always adhere to the prescribed sequence.
Additionally required equipment:
☐ 2-pole voltage detector that does not have its own voltage source
Procedure:
1. Recommendation: Backup the event and log files using the inverter manager before the
replacement. This will prevent data loss.
2.
Danger to life due to fire and explosion
In rare cases, an explosive gas mixture can be generated inside the inverter under fault
conditions. In this state, switching operations can cause a fire inside the inverter or
explosion. Death or lethal injuries due to hot or flying debris can result.
• Carry out the following steps in the given order.
