For an optimum life-time, the battery packs have to be fully
charged, after used.
To obtain the longest possible battery life remove the battery
pack from the charger once it is fully charged.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days:
Store the battery pack where the temperature is below 27°C
and away from moisture
Store the battery packs in a 30% - 50% charged condition
Every six months of storage, charge the pack as normal.
Battery protection for Li-Ion batteries
In extremely high torque, binding, stalling and short circuit
situations that cause high current draw, the tool will stop for
about 2 seconds and then the tool will turn OFF. To reset,
release the trigger. Under extreme circumstances, the internal
temperature of the battery could become too high. If this
happens, the battery will shut down.
Under extreme circumstances, the internal temperature of the
battery pack could raise too much. If this happens, the fuel
gauge will fl ash until the battery pack cooled down. After the
lights go off , the work may continue.
Transport of Li-Ion batteries
Lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods
Legislation requirements.
Transportation of those batteries has to be done in
accordance with local, national and international provisions
and regulations.
• The user can transport the batteries by road without further
requirements.
• Commercial transport of Lithium-Ion batteries by third
parties is subject to Dangerous Goods regulations.
Transport preparation and transport are exclusively to
be carried out by appropriately trained persons and the
process has to be accompanied by corresponding experts.
When transporting batteries:
• Ensure that battery contact terminals are protected and
insulated to prevent short circuit.
• Ensure that battery pack is secured against movement
within packaging.
• Do not transport batteries that are cracked or leak.

WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
The power station can supply continuous (running) and surge
(starting) watts for the items being powered at the same time.
1. Select the items to be powered at the same time.
2. Total the continuous (running) watts of these items. This is the
amount of power the power station must produce to keep the
items running. See wattage reference chart.
3. Estimate how many surge (starting) watts will be needed. Surge
wattage is the short burst of power needed to start electric motor-
driven tools or appliances such as a circular saw. Because not all
motors start at the same time, total surge watts can be estimated
by adding only the item(s) with the highest additional surge watts
to the total rated watts from step 2.
To prolong the life of the power station and attached devices, it is
important to take care when adding electrical loads to the power
station. There should be nothing connected to the power station
outlets before starting the machine. The correct and safe way to
manage power station power is to sequentially add loads (see also
page 18).
Never add more loads than the power station capacity. Take special care to
consider surge loads in power station capacity as previously described.
Cold Weather Operation
MILWAUKEE Li-Ion battery packs are designed to operate in
temperatures below freezing. The machine provides full power
output 3600 W / 1800 W down to -7°C. The machine provides a max
output of 1000 W in temperatures from -7°C to -20°C. If 1000 W is
exceeded, an audible tone will be heard, and 1 LED will fl ash on the
fuel gauge. Reset the machine and battery pack by plugging into
AC power and removing/reinserting the battery.
