NOTES: When handling carriage, take
extra care to avoid damaging
final limit bracket near battery
housing!
Do NOT turn on circuit breaker
until carriage is on the rail!
1. If not previously done, remove last gear
section from upper rail.
2. Check that circuit breaker is TURNED OFF.
3. Before installing carriage, use a 4mm hex
key to remove two (2) button head screws
from shipping brace on folding rail and
extra piece of gear rack (Fig. 1).
4. Make sure distance between folding rail
and ground is NO MORE THAN 1/8" (3 mm).
The closer to the ground, the better (Fig. 2)!
5. Raise short rail to provide access to latch
installation location (Fig. 3).
6. Insert latch, aligning holes (Fig. 4).
NOTE: Spacer plate should contact
rail extrusion when installed .
7. Hold latch in position while inserting
screws (Fig. 5).
NOTE: Failure to hold onto latch will
allow it to slide to end of short rail .
If this occurs, you must remove
short rail end plate to retrieve latch .
8. Using 4 mm Allen wrench, tighten two
screws (Fig. 6).
NOTE: Make sure the screws are
tight and properly seated!
9. Lower short rail to ground (Fig. 7).
NOTE: The SRE-3000 is shipped from the
factory ready for a left-hand
installation .
If installing a left-hand unit,
skip to Step 11 on next page.
10. Right-hand installations require these carriage
changes BEFORE carriage is slid onto rail:
a. Remove top, center carriage cover.
There are no screws! Pop it out (Fig. 8).
b. On circuit board, move LH/RH jumper
to RH position (Fig. 9).
