The overspeed is a safety device designed
to prevent operation of stairlift if descending
travel speed becomes excessive.
Reset Overspeed Switch
When overspeed switch is tripped, wheel will not
be in the center of notch (valley).
You must reset the overspeed switch to
allow unit to operate.

TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Remove right-hand safety panel.
Loosen two (2) Phillips head screws (in
red circles) in order to slide panel away
from carriage.
2. Remove access cap from motor side (Fig. 1).
3. Rotate governor until it looks like Fig. 2.
4. If governor does not rotate, use a ¼"
socket tool or manual back up tool
available in kit SRV-3000-002 (available
from Bruno), to turn motor shaft extension
and move carriage upwards:
• turn clockwise for a left-hand
installation
• turn counterclockwise for a
right-hand installation
5. Check for damage to drive system.
6. If drive system is not damaged, use
rocker switch to drive carriage off the
rail for a more complete inspection.
