WARNING!
Always use protective gloves and goggles when working on your bike.
Before each use and after a fall or collision, check that the component does not exhibit any
of the following problems:
• abnormal noise coming from the crankset
• play when pushing or pulling the crankset laterally
• cracks or damage on the hand cranks
• bottom bracket cups not in the correct position
• chainrings with worn/damaged teeth
• chainring blocking screws damaged/not in position
Also make sure that the chain does not have any problems (oxidised, worn, damaged or
jammed links).
If one or more of these problems are found or in the event of any doubts with regard to the
correct operation of the component, contact a specialised mechanic as indicated in Chapter 2,
"Information and technical support".
7 - M A I N T E N A N C E / L U B R I C AT I O N / C L E A N I N G / S T O R A G E
• The duration of the components is variable based on the conditions of use, frequency and
quality of maintenance. For a good maintenance of the components it is therefore necessary
to repeat frequently cleaning and lubrication, especially in severe conditions of use (e.g.
every time after washing the bicycle, after each ride on wet, dusty or muddy roads, etc.).
