Starting the Engine
Observe safety precautions.

NOTICE
Start your machine on a clean, dust-free
surface only to ensure that no dust is
sucked in.
Move the setting lever to F
N
Press the fuel pump bulb at least 6
N
times – even if the bulb is already
filled with fuel.
BR 800, BR 800 X
Cold engine (cold start)
Turn the choke knob to c.
N
Warm engine (warm start)
Turn the choke knob to o.
N
Also use this setting if the engine has
been running but is still cold.
Cranking
Place the machine securely on the
N
ground – make sure that bystanders
are well clear of the nozzle outlet
and
take the blower tube off the hook on
N
the blower housing (transport
position).
Make sure you have a firm footing:
N
Hold the machine with your left hand
on the housing and put one foot
against the base plate to prevent it
slipping.
