BEFORE MACHINE START-UP

Brush/pad-holder installation/removal
1. According to the kind of cleaning to be carried out, the machine can be equipped either with the brush (A, Fig. 2) or the pad-
holder (B) with pad (C) together with the appropriate deck.
2. (Only for Adfi nity™ 17ST - 20ST) Press the switch (71) and/or (73) to turn the machine off.
(Only for Adfi nity™ X20R) Insert the ignition key (80) and turn it to "0". The pad or brush is attached to the driver with a hook
and loop method. To attach pad or brush: lift and lock the deck assembly in the up position, by pressing the pedal (11). Attach
the pad or brush by aligning it with the driver and pressing it fi rmly to drive by hand. To remove pad or brush: grasp the pad or
brush fi rmly and pull straight down.
3. Place the brush (A) or the pad-holder (B) under the deck (18).
4. Lower the deck on the brush/pad-holder by pressing the pedal (11).
5. Press the brush/pad-holder switch (71) and the vacuum system switch (73).
6. Push the machine forward to engage the brush/pad-holder, then release the pedal. If necessary, repeat the procedure until the
brush/pad-holder is engaged.
7. To remove the brush/pad-holder, the deck must be lifted by pressing the pedal (11), then press the switch (71) and wait for the
brush/pad-holder to fall on the fl oor.
8. If this procedure fails, manually remove the brush/pad-holder from the hub, by turning it in the opposite direction to the normal
rotation direction.
