Configuring the system settings (ADVANCED SETUP menu)

Restoring the default settings (INIT)

INIT••••CANCEL
Restores the default settings for the unit.
Choices
Restores the default settings for the unit.
ALL
Initialize all of the network, Bluetooth and USB
settings. When performing the initialization, the
NETWORK
preset (p. 43) registered by NET/USB input will
be cleared.
Does not perform an initialization.
CANCEL

Updating the firmware (UPDATE)

UPDATE•NETWORK
New firmware that provides additional features or product
improvements will be released as needed. If the unit is
connected to the Internet, you can download the firmware
via the network. For details, refer to the information
supplied with updates.
■ Firmware update procedure
Do not perform this procedure unless firmware update is
necessary. Also, make sure you read the information
supplied with updates before updating the firmware.

Press SELECT/ENTER repeatedly to select
"USB" or "NETWORK" and press DISPLAY to
start firmware update.
Choices
Update the firmware using a USB memory device.
USB
Update the firmware via the network.
NETWORK

If the unit detects newer firmware over the network, "NEW FW
Available" appears as the "Information" menu item in
"Network". In this case, you can also update the unit's firmware
by following the procedure in "Updating the unit's firmware via
the network" (p. 51).

Check the version of firmware currently installed on the
unit.

• You can also check the firmware version in "Update (Network
Update)" (p. 47) in the "Setup" menu.
• It may take a while until the firmware version is displayed.
