4.2.5 Attaching the cover
⇒ Remove the four screws (32) on the top of the unit using the
Allen key provided�
en
⇒ Place the cover into position�
⇒ Connect the fan to the socket (15) on the rear of the unit.
Also ensure subsequently that the SIMPLEX unit is switched
off when you connect the fan as otherwise a short circuit
could occur.
The cover does not necessarily have to be secured again with
the screws.
A safety system detects when the cover is removed and then
prevents any of the axes from moving.
4.2.6 Connecting the power cord
Ensure that the on/off switch (13) is in the OFF position.
⇒ Plug the power cord into the connection for the mains power
supply (13) on the rear of the unit.
⇒ Insert the power plug into a building electrical socket�
4.3 Switching on
⇒ Switch the unit on using the on/off switch (13, Fig. 1) on the
rear of the unit�
♦ The LCD display on the front lights up�
♦ The main menu is shown:
• Menu - TEMPERATURE
• Menu - EXTRUDER
• Menu - USB PRINT
• Menu - AXES
• Menu - SETTINGS.
