Saved filaments
en
The temperature values f or the extruder (= head temp:) and the print bed (= bed temp:) of four different
filaments are stored in the SIMPLEX 3D printer.
• TEMP1: SIMPLEX study model / working model / multi-use
• TEMP2: SIMPLEX aligner model
• USER1: Freely configurable
• USER2: Freely configurable
7.2
Setting a custom print and bed temperature
The values f or the TEMP1 and TEMP2 filaments are optimized and cannot be adjusted! Only the
values for the USER1 and USER2 filaments can be changed.
The temperatures set here only apply for loading/unloading the filament and for manual extrusion.
When printing a model, the temperatures stored in the G-code of the model are used.
Changing the values for the USER1 and USER2 filaments:
⇒ Select the TEMPERATURE
EXTRUDER
⇒ Press the filament spool button
is shown
⇒ Press the °C button
♦ The settings window for the extruder and print bed temperature is opened.
⇒ Use the arrow keys
and the print bed
⇒ Exit the settings window with the lower left arrow

Heating the printer
A video on this topic is provided under the following link
www.renfert.com/simplex-6-en
To load/unload the filament and for manual extrusion, the printer must be heated in accor-
dance with the type of filament used.
If heating is switched on (extruder or print bed), this is signaled by showing the corresponding tempera-
ture in white on the displays that show temperature
If the temperature is shown in gray, the corresponding heating is switched off.
To load/unload the filament, only the extruder should be pre-heated.
At room temperatures < 18 °C [64,4 ºF] heat the extruder and print bed for 10 minutes before you
begin printing. This ensures that the temperature in the printing chamber is optimal for printing.
When using TEMP1 and TEMP2 group filaments, always load/unload the filament with the TEMP2
setting.
⇒ Select the TEMPERATURE
EXTRUDER
⇒ Using the filament spool icon
⇒ Press the extruder icon
♦ On the display, the current temperature and the target temperature change
from gray to white
♦ As soon as the extruder has reached the target temperature of the filament,
you can load/unload the filament or start printing.
⇒ You can return to the main menu using the lower left arrow
