To unmute the volume, press any button.
NOTICE:
Radio mute means setting the volume to the lowest level. (This is to prevent the user
from forgetting to unmute the radio).
Do not hold the radio too close to the ear when the volume is high or when adjusting the
volume.
When using radio with earpiece, make sure to adjust the radio volume to the lowest
volume before putting on the earpiece. For more information, refer to
page
8.

Transmitting and Receiving Calls
Procedure:
1 Press the PTT button to respond.
NOTICE: If you receive a busy tone, the channel is either not available or busy. You can
enable the busy tone through the Busy Channel Lock Out (BCLO) feature in the
Customer Programming Software (CPS).
2 Hold the radio vertically by 1 to 2 in. from mouth when speaking into the microphone.
3 Release the PTT button to listen.
