Remove the Socket Head Cap Screw with the Hex
Wrench (supplied in the parts bag) from the Retaining
Strap to the Hanger Bracket (Figure 13); retain the Socket
Head Cap Screw for future use.
Swing open the Retaining Strap as shown in Figure 13.
4.3
Carefully lift the partially assembled Ceiling Fan and seat
the Hanger Ball / Downrod Assembly on the Hanger
Bracket (Figure 14).
Be sure the Groove in the Ball is engaged with the Anti-
Rotation tab on the Hanger Bracket (Figure 14).
WARNING

Failure to seat tab in groove could cause damage to
electrical wires and possible shock or fire hazard.
WARNING
!
To avoid possible fire or shock, do not pinch wires
between the hanger ball/downrod assembly and hanger
bracket.
