Adjusting the water hardness

use the test strip provided to determine the water hardness in your area. comply with
the instructions on the test strip package. The appliance is factory-adjusted to water
hardness 4. If you have inserted the Melitta
set automatically (see page 55)
Prerequisite: The appliance is ready for operation, the standby symbol
is illuminated.
To maintain appliance quality adjust the water hardness as follows:
