OPERATION OF PRESSURE VESSELS ACCORDING TO PRESSURE
EN
VESSEL REGULATIONS
The operator of a pressure vessel is required to keep the pressure vessel in
good working order, to operate it properly, to supervise it, to promptly carry
out necessary maintenance and repair work and to take safety measures as
appropriate in the circumstances.
The supervisory authorities may order appropriate supervisory measures on an
individual basis.
A pressure vessel may not be operated if it has any defects that present a danger
to the employees or third parties.
The pressure vessel must be regularly checked for damage, such as rust. If you
discover any damage, please contact the customer service centre.
START-UP
Electrical connection
The compressor is equipped with a mains cable with shock-proof plug. It can be
connected to any 220-240 V~ 50-60 Hz shock-proof socket that is protected by a 16 A
fuse. Long supply cables, extensions, cable reels etc. cause a drop in voltage and can
impede motor start-up.
At low temperatures below 0 °C, the motor start-up is prohibited.
The use of too long extension cables with too small cross-sections results in a voltage
drop that may cause difficult start-up and increased motor load. It is recommended,
where possible, to always directly plug the motor cable into the mains socket and to
preferably use longer air hoses.
Recommended cable cross-sections:
Length up to approx. 10 m = 1. 5 mm²
Length up to approx. 20 m = 2. 5 mm²
Installation
The tools are mobile and can be used practically everywhere. If the compressor is wall-
mounted, a minimum distance of 30 cm should be kept to ensure proper cooling.
Transportation:
The tools should be transported generally in an upright position. Avoid knocks to the
fittings.
USE OF COMPRESSED AIR EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS
Please pay attention to the air consumption data of the respective compressed
air equipment/tool. Check whether the power of 16. 9 L/min of your compressor is
sufficient for its operation.
The air compressor is equipped with a quick connector (female) for connecting
a compressed air hose. To make the connection, insert the matching counter
piece (male) into the quick connector until it clicks into place. Before starting the
compressor, check the connection for correct seating.
Before disconnecting the compressed air hose, it must be completely depressurised
Otherwise, there is a risk of a kickback or whip of the hose when disconnecting the
hose. Turn the pressure regulator to "NULL" (zero) and relieve the hose pressure
using any available terminal equipment. The locking mechanism of the quick
connector is opened by pushing back the outer ring of the female part.
