WARNING
The vibration and noise emission level given in this information sheet has been measured in accordance with a standardized test given in EN 62841 and
may be used to compare one tool with another. It may be used for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
The declared vibration and noise emission level represents the main applications of the tool. However if the tool is used for diff erent applications, with
diff erent accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration and noise emission may diff er. This may signifi cantly increase the exposure level over the total
working period.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration and noise should also take into account the times when the tool is switched off or when it is running but
not actually doing the job. This may signifi cantly reduce the exposure level over the total working period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the eff ects of vibration and/or noise such as: maintain the tool and the accessories, keep
the hands warm, organization of work patterns.
WARNING!
Read all safety warnings, instructions,
illustrations and specifi cations provided with this power tool. Failure
to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fi re and/
or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
TRIM ROUTER SAFETY WARNINGS
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing
an operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden
wiring.
Cutting accessory contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts
of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the
workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the work by your hand or
against the body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control.
Only use rotary cutting bits are suitable for the speed of the tool. The
rotary cutting bit must be suitable for speed up to 25000 min
-1
Only the collets may be used, which are supplied with the machine.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY AND WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
Maintain a fi rm grip on the power tool and position your body and
arm to allow you to resist kickback forces. The operator can control
kickback forces, if proper precautions are taken.
Some woods contain preservatives that can be toxic. Take extra care
to prevent inhalation and skin contact when working with these materials.
Request, and follow, any safety information available from your material
supplier.
Never hold the workpiece in one hand and the tool in the other hand
when using the tool. Never place hands near or below cutting surface.
Clamping the material and guiding the tool with both hands is safer.
Never use dull or damaged bits. Sharp bits must be handled with
care. Damaged bits can break during use. Dull bits require more force to

push the tool, which could cause the bit to break. Damaged bits can throw
carbide pieces and burn the workpiece.
After changing the bit or making any adjustments, make sure the
collet nut and any other adjustment devices are securely tightened.
Loose adjustment devices can unexpectedly shift, causing loss of control.
Loose rotating components will be violently thrown. Watch for vibration or
wobbling that could indicate an improperly installed bit.
Never start the tool when the bit is in contact with the material. The
bit cutting edge may grab the material causing loss of control of the tool.
Never lay the tool down until the bit has come to a complete stop.
The spinning bit can grab the surface and pull the tool out of your control.
Never touch the bit during or immediately after use. After use the bit,
collet, and collet nut may be hot enough to burn bare skin.
Never clamp the workpiece to a hard surface, such as concrete
or stone. Contact with the bit could cause the tool to jump and loss of
control.
.
Only operate the router when held. Do not clamp or secure the router to
a surface and hold the workpiece by hand.
Never use bits larger than the smallest of the openings in the base,
sub-base, or dust collection port.
Do not loosen or remove the plunge base
A
caps (A). Internal springs are under pressure. If
loosened or removed, the plunge base caps and
internal springs will become projectiles, which
could cause injury.
Always check collet assembly before operation. If collet separates
from collet nut during use, serious injury or product damage may occur.
Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection.
Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard
hat or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce
personal injuries.
Never reach into the danger area of the plane when it is running.
ENGLISH
Always use the protective shields on the machine.
Only use tools whose permitted speed is at least as high as the highest
no-load speed of the machine.
Chips and splinters must not be removed while the machine is running.
Only use professionally grinded router cutters.
-1
Only use router cutter with correct shank diameter.
The workpieces should be clamped down before cutting.
Put the router back to original position after usage (loosen clamping lever
to secure cage).
Pressing the depth adjust button will cause the console to drop down,
which may cause personal injury or damage to the tool or workpiece.
Make sure your hand is fi rmly on the console when pressing the button.
Do not tighten the collet nut without inserting the bit. The collet may break.
Never touch the bit during or immediately after use. After use the bit,
collet, and collet nut may be hot enough to burn bare skin.
Warning: If the collet nut is not tightened securely, the bit may come out
during use, causing serious personal injury.
DO NOT use the router if the locking lever does not hold the motor
securely in the base. Check the locking lever screw and tighten if needed
during use.
2
Always check collet assembly before operation. If collet separates from
collet nut during use, serious injury or product damage may occur.
Warning: Keep hands and body away from the bit and all moving parts.
Avoid cutting nails. Remove all nails before operation.
Only move the workpiece in counter rotation to cutter (only work
oppositely oriented)! For security, use devices such as safety- and
pressure device, guide slide, rip fence, etc.
The dust produced when using this tool may be harmful to health (e.g.
when working oak or beech wood, stones, paint, which could contain lead
or other harmful chemicals). Do not inhale the dust. Use a dust absorption
system and wear a suitable dust protection mask. Remove deposited dust
thoroughly, e.g. with a vacuum cleaner.
Do not machine any materials that present a danger to health (e.g.
asbestos).
Switch the device off immediately if the insertion tool stalls! Do not switch
the device on again while the insertion tool is stalled, as doing so could
trigger a sudden recoil with a high reactive force. Determine why the
insertion tool stalled and rectify this, paying heed to the safety instructions.
The possible causes may be:
• it is tilted in the workpiece to be machined
• it has pierced through the material to be machined
• the power tool is overloaded
Do not reach into the machine while it is running.
The insertion tool is sharp-edged and can become hot during use.
WARNING! Danger of cuts and burns
- when handling the insertion tools
- when setting the device down.
Wear protective gloves when handling insertion tools.

NOTES FOR LI-ION BATTERIES
Use of Li-Ion batteries
Battery packs which have not been used for some time should be
recharged before use.
Temperatures in excess of 50°C (122°F) reduce the performance of
the battery pack. Avoid extended exposure to heat or sunshine (risk of
overheating).
The contacts of chargers and battery packs must be kept clean.
For an optimum life-time, the battery packs have to be fully charged, after
used.
To obtain the longest possible battery life remove the battery pack from
the charger once it is fully charged.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days:
Store the battery pack where the temperature is below 27°C and away
from moisture
Store the battery packs in a 30% - 50% charged condition
Every six months of storage, charge the pack as normal.
Battery protection for Li-Ion Akkus
In extremely high torque, binding, stalling and short circuit situations that
cause high current draw, the tool will vibrate for about 5 seconds, the
fuel gauge will fl ash,and then the tool will turn OFF. To reset, release the
trigger.
Under extreme circumstances, the internal temperature of the battery
pack could raise too much. If this happens, the fuel gauge will fl ash
until the battery pack cooled down. After the lights go off , the work may
continue.
