Within the DDL line, each DDL participant's plug connection and
the cable length lower the voltage. The bus coupler works with
an operating voltage of 24 V DC and has been designed for the
following tolerance ranges.

Possible causes for a display of missing DDL communication
are:
W
Baud rate set for the bus coupler is not the same.
W
There are gaps in the addressing.
W
The same address was assigned to 2 modules.
W
Address 0 and 1 to 14 have been assigned simultaneously.
W
The configuration was changed during operation.
W
The configuration of the inserted modules is incorrect.
W
The maximum number of 3 input and 3 output modules has
been exceeded.
W
4 bytes length of the output data has been exceeded.
W
Problem with the internal data communication
(e.g. defective modules).
W
Incorrect initialization

Overload protection
The sensor supply comes from the DDL "sensor" voltage. If the
sensor power supply has a short-circuit at a socket or exceeds
the total voltage of 0.5 A for all sockets, then the short-circuit
protection is triggered. The green SENSOR LED will flash.
If the sensor supply is overloaded, the voltage will be disrupted at
all plugs until the malfunction has been remedied. This
malfunction is not stored, the unit will automatically go back into
a normal operating state.
