Dehydrate
Dehydration
(Drying) isamethod ofpreserving fruits,
vegetables,
herbs andmeats byremoving moisture s o
bacteria, yeast and moldcannot growandspoil t he
food. T he oven uses a nautomatic settemperature
and
theconvection fantoremove m oisture f rom thefoods
todryandpreserve them. Note thatover12 hours may
berequired todrysome foods.

extension service o ffice. T o locate thisofficeinyour

During d ehydration, your o ven door must r emain
partially o pen toallowforaircirculation and moisture
removal.
Use thedehydration doorstop, which isincluded w ith
your o ven, t ohold thedoor open fordehydration.
