7 Servicing/Maintenance
WARNING
Unintentional starting of the pump set
Risk of injury by moving components and shock currents!
▷ Ensure that the pump set cannot be started unintentionally.
▷ Always make sure the electrical connections are disconnected before carrying
out work on the pump set.
WARNING
Hands, other body parts or foreign objects in the impeller or intake area
Risk of injury! Damage to the submersible motor pump!
▷ Never insert your hands, other body parts or foreign objects into the impeller or
impeller intake area.
▷ Always make sure the electrical connections are disconnected before checking
whether the impeller rotates freely.
WARNING
Fluids handled, consumables and supplies which are hot and/or pose a health
hazard
Risk of injury!
▷ Observe all relevant laws.
▷ When draining the fluid take appropriate measures to protect persons and the
environment.
▷ Decontaminate pumps which handle fluids posing a health hazard.
WARNING
Hot surface
Risk of injury!
▷ Allow the pump set to cool down to ambient temperature.
WARNING
Improper lifting/moving of heavy assemblies or components
Personal injury and damage to property!
▷ Use suitable transport devices, lifting equipment and lifting tackle to move
heavy assemblies or components.
WARNING
Insufficient stability
Risk of crushing hands and feet!
▷ During assembly/dismantling, secure the pump (set)/pump parts to prevent
tilting or tipping over.
A regular maintenance schedule will help avoid expensive repairs and contribute to
trouble-free, reliable operation of the pump, pump set and pump parts with a
minimum of servicing/maintenance expenditure and work.
Never use force when dismantling and reassembling the pump set.
7.2 Maintenance/inspection
