A loose connection

The
power cord is factory-connected
to the FM
ANTENNA
ter-
minal with a lug so as to function as an FM antenna.
If reception
is,weak with this power cord antenna, remove
the lug from the
FM terminal and connect an external antenna as in the diagram.
In poor reception areas, or to receive distant stations, the use of
an outdoor
FM antenna
is recommended.
MW
AND
SW ANTENNA
:
In most areas, the built-in ferrite-bar antenna
will provide satis-
factory MW
reception.
For SW
reception,
connect
a supplied
AM
antenna wire, or an external antenna
to the AM ANTENNA
terminal.
Extend
this
out
of
doors
if possible,
keeping
the
greater portion horizontal.
In difficult MW
reception areas, the
external AM
antenna will serve to improve the reception.
@To avoid reversing the channels,
always insert the red plugs into the Right jacks,
and the remaining plugs into the Left.
