6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Maintenance
1.
Battery maintenance: To prolong the lifespan of the battery, recharge the scooter only
when the battery is about to run out. (Note: if you do not plan to use the scooter for a long
period of time, it is recommended to recharge the battery at least once a month). If you
need to replace the battery, refer to qualified professionals.
2.
Undervoltage protection: When the battery voltage falls below the set undervoltage
value, the controller enters the undervoltage protection state. The motor will stop
working to protect the lifespan of the battery.
3.
Voltage limit protection:
4.
The maximum output (voltage) of the controller is limited to 25±1A to protect the battery,
controller and motor, etc.
5.
Wheel maintenance: To ensure the lifespan of the wheels, check them regularly. If the
wheel does not function properly, repair or replace it as soon as possible to prevent
further damage to the scooter.
6.
Maintenance of the main body: Clean the electric scooter body with water or mild
detergent. Do not use strong cleaning agents, solvents or chemicals to clean the main
body of the scooter.
-
Make sure the device is not plugged to the power supply or switched on before cleaning
or maintenance.
-
Use a soft cloth to clean the exterior housing of the electric scooter.
-
Never use alcohol, petrol, paraffin, corrosive, or abrasive products to clean the electric
scooter.
-
Never immerse the electric scooter in water or any other liquid to clean it, as this could
damage the electronic parts permanently.
-
Never use pressurised water to clean the electric scooter.
-
Do not try to repair the electric scooter on your own. Should it not work correctly or be
damaged, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
-
Self-tapping nuts and other fasteners may loosen their hold and need to be retightened.
-
If the scooter is expected to be inactive for more than 30 days, fully charge the battery and
place it in a cool, dry place. Remember to recharge it every 60 days to protect the battery
from possible damage beyond the scope of the warranty.
-
Disassembly of the wheels is complicated and improper assembly can cause instability
and malfunction.
Brake disc
You must check the brake discs are in perfect condition, matching the brake calliper: fix this
easily with the Allen key provided. Brake pads are consumable parts and must be replaced
when their shelf life expires.

Storage
-
When not in use, store the scooter in a dry and ventilated place. Do not leave it outdoors for
a long time. Excessive sunlight, overheating, and overcooling accelerate tyre ageing and
compromise the service life of the scooter and its battery.
-
Charge it only if the room temperature is between 0ºC and 40ºC and store it at a
temperature between -10ºC and 45ºC.
Battery release
-
Removing the battery is complicated and may alter the operation of the electric scooter:
you can contact an authorised repair entity if the warranty is still valid. If the warranty has
expired, you can contact a specialist workshop of your choice. You can also contact the
Cecotec Customer Service Department.
-
For proper removal of the battery for subsequent recycling, you must:
1.
Step 1: remove the anti-slip silicone rubber from the cover.
2.
Step 2: unscrew all screws (10 pieces in total) to open the battery chassis.
3.
Step 3: open the battery chassis cover, and remove the battery holder, to release the
battery.
4.
Step 4: disconnect the two connectors (one is the battery connection to the controller, the
other is the battery connection to the charging port).
5.
Step 5: then you are able to remove the battery from the battery chassis.
