A Power Button
Press and hold for three seconds to Power On
the unit. This will begin the automatic start-up
cycle. Press and hold this button for 3 seconds to
Power-down the unit, activating the automatic
cool-down cycle. A blue light will turn on behind
the Power Button when connected to a power
source and when the unit is on.
B Control Knob
The Controller Knob is used to navigate, increase,
decrease, select, and set values. The Controller
Knob can move like a joystick or rotate to adjust
values on the Main Screen. In subscreens rotate the
wheel or use the joystick to scroll through options.
Push the Controller Knob to confirm the chosen
value or selection. The selection will blink blue
where the control knob is currently located until a
selection is made. It will be highlighted white once
the selection is confirmed.

Meat Probe Connection Ports
The left probe port is P1 and the right is P2.
D Set Temperature
The Set Temperature will be updated after the
temperature is modified under the Actual Tem-
perature.

Actual Temperature
The Actual temperature is constantly displayed.
The temperature readout is taken by the grill
probe (sensor) from the inside of the grill barrel.
Touch or move the Control Knob over the tem-
perature and rotate the knob to adjust the Set
Temperature. Press the Control Knob to confirm
the selectionor touch anywhere on the screen.The
temperature range is 65-260°C/150-500°F, at 5°F
degree increments.

Pellet Icon
The PELLET error screen will appear if the fire in
the Burn Pot has gone out or the hopper may be
empty. See the section on troubleshooting for
assistance.

G Auger Icon
The AUGER icon is visible when the auger is
operation. When it is not working the AUGER error
screen will appear. See the section on trouble-
shooting for assistance.
H Igniter Icon
The IGNITER icon is visible when the igniter is op-
eration. When it is not working the IGNITER error
screen will appear. See the section on trouble-
shooting for assistance.

Fan Icon
The FAN icon is visible when the fan is operation.
When it is not working the FAN error screen will
appear. See the section on troubleshooting for
assistance.

Wi-Fi® Icon
The Wi-Fi® icon will be solid when the unit is
connected to the Pit Boss Grills application. It will
blink when it is trying to connect.
K Programmable Meat Probe
When the Programmable Meat Probes are plugged-in at
the connection ports, these icons will display. The Actual
temperature is shown in bold and the Set temperature, if
one is set, will be shown below. Move to or touch P1 or P2
on the Main Screen. Rotate the Controller Knob to adjust
the desired temperature and push the knob or touch to
confirm the selection. To access the Probes sub-screen,
touch or move the joystick up if hovering over P2, and
down if hovering over P1. Under the Probes sub-screen,
select the probe, then the temperature to program, or
select the protein icon to set the default temperature
for what is being cooked. When not in use, disconnect
the Meat Probe.
The outer ring indicates how far along the current
cooking temperature is from the programmed
temperature, 0-100%. See Controller Functions for
more detail on using the Programmable Meat Probes.
