- Presence of damage to the external components
of the engine; if necessary, restore the condition of
conformity.

- Integrity and tightness of piping, sleeves and as-
sociated clamps; replace damaged parts.
- Fluid level: engine oil (see page 45), engine
(see page 58), to check the fuel level follow the
instructions of the manufacturer of the boat where
the engine is installed.
- Sea water pump (see table on page 35).
- Galvanic anode (see table on page 34 - table on
page 35 and galvanic anode check on page 57).
- Engine start as per procedure on page 27.
- Fluid leaks.
CHECKING TIGHTNESS OF SCREWS, FITTINGS AND SEALING CLAMPS
Follow the procedure below.
1 - To start the engine and keep it at a speed of
1000 / 1200 rpm until it reaches the operating tem-
perature (80°C - 95°C / 176°F - 203°F).
2 - Turn off the engine and let it cool down.
