ENGINE SWITCHING OFF
To switch off the engine, proceed as follows:
- Reduce the engine to idle speed.
- Set the engine control lever to neutral.
- Keep the idle speed of at least 1-2 minutes.
- Turn the key to the OFF position as shown in the
side picture.
IMPORTANT
Before switching off the engine, always
remember to reduce the rpm to idle speed for 1
- 2 minutes to allow an adequate lubrication of
the engine parts.
CAUTION - WARNING
To switch off the engine with the outdrive or
other accessory engaged, follow the instruc-
tions of the manufacturer of the boat where
the engine is installed.

DANGER - WARNING
The surface of some engine parts becomes
hot during operation and remains hot for
some time after shutting down.
Danger of burning/scalding:
Pay attention to hot surfaces and radiated
heat.
