Risk of electrocution
1. Dangerous voltages exist inside the UPS. Do not attempt to disassemble the UPS, as none of its
components can be repaired by the user.
2. Caution, risk of electrocution! The battery circuit is not isolated from the input voltage. Dangerous
voltages may exist between battery terminals and the ground. Before touching them, check that
no voltage is present.
3. Repairs should only be carried out by qualified service personnel.
4. The power outlet used to supply power to the UPS must be dedicated to this device only. It must
be protected by a 30mA bipolar thermal-magnetic circuit breaker with high-immunity differential
device (type SI).
5. The mains power plug should be located close to the device and easily accessible. To isolate the
UPS from the power source and shut it down, unplug the mains power plug.
6. During operation, do not disconnect the mains cable from the UPS or the electrical circuit socket
(earthed shock-proof socket), as this will eliminate the grounding protection of the UPS system
and all connected loads.
7. The UPS has its own internal power source (batteries). Output sockets may still be live even after
the UPS has been disconnected from the mains power supply.
8. In an emergency, shut down the UPS by pressing the "OFF" button for 3 seconds and
disconnecting the unit from the power source.
9. If the UPS malfunctions, refer to the "Troubleshooting" section and call the hotline.
10. Equipotential grounding connections must be checked with the additional battery cabinet, if
present.
Connected devices
1. The sum of the UPS leakage current and the connected equipment must not exceed 3.5 mA.
2. Ensure that the load connected does not exceed the UPS capacity. To ensure longer backup
duration and extend battery life, it is recommended to limit the load to 1/3 of the rated power.
3. Do not connect any appliances or devices to the UPS's sockets or output terminals that would
overload it (e.g. a high-power motor).
4. Do not connect the UPS input to its output.
5. Do not connect a power strip or surge protector to the UPS.
6. The UPS is designed for personal computers or small computer servers. It must not be used with
electrical or electronic devices containing inductive loads such as motors or fluorescent lamps.
7. Do not connect the UPS to household appliances such as microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, hair
dryers or life-support equipment.
