Step 3: UPS output connection
There are two types of outlet: programmable and general. Please connect non-critical devices to
programmable outlets and critical devices to general outlets.
In the event of a power failure, you can extend the autonomy of critical devices by defining a shorter
downtime for non-critical devices.
You can choose either an IEC connection (cable supplied) or an FR/Schuko cable connection, depending
on the configuration of your site.
Note that this function is deactivated at factory, which means that all sockets benefit from the same
autonomy. To activate the programmable sockets function, please refer to the "UPS settings" chapter.
Step 4: Communication port
For optimum protection of your IT system, install Infopower UPS monitoring software to fully configure
UPS shutdown.
Communication ports:
USB port
For unattended startup or shutdown of UPS and management of its operating mode, connect one end of
the communication cable to the RS-232 or USB port, and the other to the communication port of your PC.
Using the InfoPower monitoring software (downloadable free of charge from our website), you can schedule
the UPS shutdown or startup and monitor its status on your PC.
The UPS is equipped with an intelligent slot designed for the installation of SNMP or AS400 cards. When an
SNMP or AS400 card is installed in the UPS, it provides advanced communication and monitoring options
such as network management or centralized technical management.
Step 5: Disable and enable the EPO function
This UPS is equipped with EPO function. By default, the UPS is delivered with Pin 1 and Pin 2 closed (a metal
plate is connected to Pin 1 and Pin 2) for normal UPS operation. To activate the EPO function, remove the
two EPO port screws to remove the metal plate.
Step 6: Switch on the UPS
Press the ON/Mute button on the front panel for two seconds to switch on the UPS.
Note: The battery is fully charged within the first five hours of normal operation. Do not expect the
