Checking the steering bearings
NOTE
The telescopic fork should not jam up when turned and it should swing back
lightly to both end positions.
•
Pull the handbrake to block the front wheel brake.
•
Hold the handlebar with both hands and try to move the handlebar (1)
back and forth.
If the fork steering shaft bearing shows noticeable play, it must be adjusted by
a specialised dealer.
Checking the telescopic fork
•
Pull the handbrake to block the front wheel brake.
•
Then, pump the fork inner tubes (2) several times up and down using
the handlebar.
•
The suspension should respond perfectly.
•
Check the fork inner tubes for oil leaks.
NOTE
If damage the telescopic fork or spring strut is found have the scooter
checking by a Mondial F.B official dealer.
