16.2 Oven operation
EXPLOSION HAZARD!
Keep flammable, explosive objects away from the oven.
Always ventilate the place where the electric stove is installed.
Switching the oven on and off
Observe the following when switching on the oven:
Set the required operating conditions of the oven:
•
- Oven function (type of heating)
- Oven temperature
Set the rotary switch function selectors and temperature regulator to the desired position by
•
turning them "to the right".
The yellow control light ON/OFF signals that the oven is switched on.
•
The red heating process control light signals that the oven is heating.
•
When the red control light goes out, the set oven temperature has been reached.
•
If the recipe recommends placing the food in the preheated oven, the first time the red
•
control light goes out is the right time to do so. See preheating with recirculating air.
•
During baking, the red control light will temporarily switch on and off (thermostat function of
the oven).
Make use of the residual heat. Switch off the appliance slightly earlier and allow the cake to
•
bake for a further 5 minutes, for example.
To switch off, turn the two rotary switches back to their initial position
