In case of heavy incontinence, an additional incontinence barrier should be used. Please

observe the care and cleaning instructions for each incontinence barrier used.
The product should be cleaned monthly.
Cleaning the cloth cover
1) Unzip and remove the cover for separate washing.
2) Zip up the cover before washing.
3) The cover can be washed at 60 °C [140 °F] using a mild, environmentally friendly detergent.
Recommendation: wash the cover using the delicate cycle at 40 °C [104 °F] to prevent
excessive wear.
4) Allow to air dry. When using an automatic clothes dryer, select the delicate cycle at low tem
perature.
Cleaning the foam pads
1) Hand wash all foam components in warm water at 40 °C [104 °F] using a standard mild deter
gent. Do not use fabric softener. Rinse thoroughly.
INFORMATION: Do not use a brush or similar on the surface. Only dab lightly, do not
rub.
2) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat sources (e.g. sunlight, stove or radiator).
INFORMATION: In order to avoid mould forming, the foam pad must be completely dry
before putting it into the cover.
7 Maintenance and repair
7.1 Maintenance

Regular care extends the service life of the product.
•
The manufacturer recommends inspecting all parts of the seat cushion during regular monthly
cleaning. Observe the following:

Check the cover for rips, holes and other damage.

Verify that the zipper is working properly.

Inspect the foam for damage.

Damaged or worn parts should be replaced as soon as possible. Inform the qualified person
nel for the rectification of defects.

Service and repairs (except on the ROHO insert, see next section) may only be carried out by
authorised, qualified personnel or the manufacturer. This will ensure that only Ottobock spare
parts are used for repairs.
7.2 Repair

If the ROHO insert is punctured by a sharp object, refrain from using the cushion as far as
possible.

If it is not possible to repair the ROHO insert yourself, contact your therapist or your special
ist dealer.
Removing the ROHO insert
1) Unzip and remove the cover as described above (see Page 18).
2) Gently ease the ROHO insert and valve away from the foam. Do not pull on the air cells.
