To execute a wider arc, it is necessary to disengage the levers by keeping them together as

and bring them to the start of stroke

(If you want to rotate the lever to
decrease the closing pressure, start of stroke 2. If you want to rotate the lever to increase
the closing pressure, start of travel 1) After having brought the levers to the start of travel,
release them as in
Fig. 1
and rotate again in the desired direction.
