RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION
WARNING
The tools should be operated with the ONE+
battery pack.
When using battery operated tools basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, leaking batteries and personal
injury, including the following.
Read all these instructions before operating this product
and save these instructions.
Read the operation manual and follow all
warning and safety instructions.
Wear eye, ear and head protection.
Wear slip-resistant foot wear.
Beware overhead electric power lines.

Do not use this machine in wet weather
conditions!
Wear protective clothing and boots.
Wear non-slip, heavy duty gloves.
Keep all bystanders at least 15 m away.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE OPERATING.
Do not allow children or untrained individuals to use

this unit.
Wear heavy long pants, non-slip safety footwear,
■
gloves, and a hard hat.
Never operate unit while bare foot or wearing open
■
shoes.
Do not wear loose clothing, or jewelry that might get
■
entangled in this unit.
Keep all bystanders, children, and pets at least 15 m
■
(50 feet) away. Remember that the operator or user is
responsible for accidents occurring to bystanders,
their property, as well as themselves.

Check for damaged parts. Before further use of the
■
appliance, any part that is damaged should be
carefully checked to determine that it will operate
properly and perform its intended function.
Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of
■
moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any
other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard
or other part that is damaged should be properly
repaired or replaced by an authorized service center.
Following this rule will reduce the risk of shock, fire,
or serious injury.
Do not force the pole pruner. Use the correct tool for
■
your application. The correct tool will do the job better
and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at
■
all times. Proper footing and balance enables better
control of the pole pruner in unexpected situation.
Do not use on a ladder or unstable support.
Secure long hair so it can not become entangled in
■
moving parts or air intake.
Do not operate this unit when you are tired, ill, or under
■
the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.
Do not operate in poor lighting.
■
Never let anyone use your unit who has not received
■
adequate instructions in the unit's proper use.
This applies to rentals as well as private owned units.
Keep the handles dry and clean.
■
Before you start the unit, make sure the blade is not
■
contacting any object.
Stop the unit, remove the battery pack, and make sure
■
the blade has stopped before setting the unit down.
To protect yourself from electrocution, do not operate
■
within 10 m of overhead electrical lines. See Figure 1.
To protect yourself from falling branches, do not stand
■
directly under the branch or limb being cut. This unit
should not be held at an angle over 60° from ground
level. See Figure 2.
Consider work area environment. Do not expose
■
power tools to rain. Do not use power tools in damp or
wet locations. Keep work area lit. Do not use power
tools where there is risk to cause fire or explosion.
Store battery or idle tools. When not in use, tools and
■
batteries should be stored separately in dry, high or
locked up place out of reach of children. Ensure that
battery terminals cannot be shorted by other metal
parts such as screws, nails, etc.
Disconnect tools where the design permits. Disconnect
■
the tool from its battery pack when not in use, before
service and when changing accessories such as
blades, bits and cutters.
