5.3 Activating BLE
CIM 290 with BLE pairing button
1. Press the BLE pairing button for wireless
communication with Grundfos GO via BLE.
Grundfos GO must be installed on your mobile
phone.
2. Pair CIM 290 with the mobile phone.
Pressing the BLE button for more than
15 seconds resets the current BLE
pairing process.
5.4 Configuration via Grundfos GO
CIM 290 may be configured via Grundfos GO. If
required, the parameter for the RS-485 Modbus RTU
master interface has to be configured (baud rate,
parity bits, start/stop bits, activation, address). The
Initial Startup Wizard guides you through the setup.
5.5 Local firmware update
The local firmware on the CIM module can be
updated via RS-485 port using the Grundfos
Selfprogrammer tool.
5.6 Factory reset
1. Press the reset button for 5 seconds to start a
factory reset.

Connect CIM only to a Grundfos host
product with a dedicated CIM interface.
6.1 Connecting the power supply
When installed by factory, LED2 on the
CIM module is permanently red until the
product driver is downloaded from the
cloud.
1. Switch on the power supply. The CIM module is
powered by the Grundfos product in which it is
fitted.
a. LED1 is flashing yellow (searching for cellular
network). When the connection to the cellular
network is established, LED1 pulsates yellow
(cellular network active).
b. LED2 is permanently green (internal
communication between the CIM module and
the Grundfos product is stable).

7. Startup
Be aware that the initial powering of the
device can take 5-10 seconds due to the
power-up sequences.
