Use
4.1
Preconditions for use
– Type and concentration of contaminants must be known.
When checking the conditions of use, also pay attention to
whether additional protective clothing is required.
– When used with a powered air-purifying respirator, the
oxygen content of the ambient air must not fall below the
following limit values:
● 17 Vol% in Europe, excluding Netherlands, Belgium,
UK,
● 19 Vol% in Netherlands, Belgium, UK.
For other countries, observe national regulations!
– The welding visors can only be used with a compressed
air hose unit in areas with oxygen deficiency.

4.2
Preparations before first use
4.2.1 Preparations for all welding visors
1. Remove transport foils.
2. Insert batteries into the ADF (see chapter 6.2.1).
3. Adjust the welding visor so that it is seated correctly (see
chapter 4.2.2 or 4.2.3).
4.2.2 Setting the X-plore 8000 Standard welding
visor

1. Set the swing angle of the welding visor (Fig. F):
The swing angle is adjusted on the right-hand side of the
welding visor.
a. Open the zip (Fig. A-11) and remove the face cuff
(Fig. A-1) from the visor shell.
b. Loosen the right-hand locking screw (Fig. A-3) and
push the adjusting lever (Fig. F) on the catch plate until
the desired position is reached.
c. Release the adjusting lever. It locks once more and
fixes the welding visor into the desired position.
d. Tighten the right-hand locking screw. Make sure that
the distance of the support ring from the ADF is not
changed.
e. Mount the face cuff to the visor shell with the zip.
2. Setting the distance between ADF and face:
a. Loosen the locking screws (Fig. A-3) on both sides of
the visor shell.
b. Set the distance of the support ring from the ADF.
c. Tighten the locking screws.
3. Adjusting the support ring if required:
a. If the support ring is seated too high or too low on the
head, then set the belt (Fig. A-18) that goes over the
head. To do so, press the locking pin from the belt and
loosen the end of the belt. Push both parts of the belt
and insert the locking pin through the nearest hole.
b. Set the support ring using the adjusting wheel (Fig. A-
12) on the head circumference.
c. Check that the support ring is seated correctly. Put on
the welding visor, then raise and lower it a few times. If
the support ring moves as a result, adjust it once more.
4.2.3 Setting the X-plore 8000 Premium welding
visor

1. Setting the swing angle of the welding visor (Fig. G):
The swing angle is adjusted on the right-hand side of the
welding visor.
a. Loosen the right-hand locking screw (Fig. C-14) and
push the end of the adjusting lever (Fig. G) inwards to
release the adjusting lever.
b. Turn the adjusting lever to the desired position.
c. Release the adjusting lever. It locks once more and
fixes the welding visor into the desired position.
d. Tighten the right-hand locking screw.
