1) The following applies as a rule of thumb: Start with a higher darkening stage and select successively lower darkening stages until the view of the
welding area is sufficient without falling below the minimum darkening stage.
The welding tool generates a strong yellow light during autogenous welding or cutting. It is recommended to use a welding filter that absorbs yellow
light within the visible spectral range.
2) These values apply if the arc can be clearly seen. Experience has shown that lower darkening stages can be selected if the arc is covered by the
workpiece.
