6.2.7 Replacing outer cover plate

Only applies to the X-plore 8000 Premium welding visor.
1. Loosen and remove the cover frame (Fig. C-11) on one
side of the movable visor.
2. Press the ADF (Fig. C-9) evenly upwards and remove it
from the movable visor (Fig. C-6) from the outside.
3. Grasp behind the outer cover plate (Fig. C-10) in the
recess using the fingernail.
4. Bend the cover plate slightly and remove it from the
mount.
5. Insert a new cover plate into place in the recesses on the
ADF.
6. Insert the ADF into the movable visor from below, then
insert the latching hooks into the recesses on the visor.
7. Press the ADF evenly downwards until it clicks into place.
8. Press the cover frame on the movable visor into place.
6.2.8 Replacing the face cuff
See Figures C and E on the fold-out page
Only applies to the X-plore 8000 Premium welding visor.
1. Press the LOCK buttons (Fig. C-13) and the support ring
(Fig. C-15) in the direction of the visor until it can be
removed from the mount on both sides.
2. Release the press studs (Fig. E) and remove the support
ring from the face cuff.
3. Pull the face cuff away from the hook-and-loop strap in the
visor shell.
4. Thread the new face cuff into the support ring and close
the press studs (Fig. E).
5. Push the support ring into the LOCK buttons until it clicks
into place. Ensure that the support ring is equally far in the
mount on both sides (see magnified view on the right in
Fig. E). Otherwise, darkening can appear uneven during
welding
6. Align the face cuff and attach it circumferentially to the
hook-and-loop strap in the visor shell.
6.2.9 Replacing the sweatband

Only applies to the X-plore 8000 Premium welding visor.
1. Unhook the sweatband (Fig. C-12) from the support ring
(Fig. C-15).
2. Place a new sweatband around the support ring, then
hook it into position.
6.2.10 Changing the padding
See Figures C and H on the fold-out page
Only applies to the X-plore 8000 Premium welding visor.
1. Pull the padding (Fig. C-18) out of the eye on one side of
the head width adjuster.
2. Remove the padding from the support ring.

3. Note the preferred orientation of the padding (the triangles
on the padding and support ring must be on the same
side, Fig. H).
4. Hook the padding into the eyes on the head width adjuster
(Fig. H).
6.2.11 Repling the ADF

Only applies to the X-plore 8000 Premium welding visor.
1. Loosen and remove the cover frame (Fig. C-11) on one
side of the movable visor.
2. Press the ADF (Fig. C-9) evenly upwards and remove it
from the movable visor (Fig. C-6) from the outside.
3. Insert the new ADF into the visor from below, then insert
the latching hooks into the recesses on the movable visor.
4. Press the ADF evenly downwards until it clicks into place.
5. Press the cover frame on the movable visor into place.
6.2.12 Replacing the grinding visor shield

Only applies to the X-plore 8000 Premium welding visor.
1. Fold up the movable visor (Fig. C-6).
2. Loosen and remove the grinding visor frame (Fig. C-1) on
both sides of the visor shell.
3. Bend the grinding visor shield (Fig. C-2) slightly and
remove it from the mount on the visor shell.
4. Insert a new grinding visor shield into the recesses on the
visor shell.
5. Click the (new) grinding visor frame into place on both
sides of the visor shell.
6. Close the movable visor.
6.2.13 Replacing the lens for protection against
dazzling
See Figure C on the fold-out page
Only applies to the X-plore 8000 Premium welding visor.
1. Fold up the movable visor (Fig. C-6).
2. Press the lens for protection against dazzling (Fig. C-7)
out of the movable visor from the inside outwards.
3. Insert a new lens for protection against dazzling into the
curvature and click into place in the recesses on the
movable visor.
Alternatively, a dummy plate can be used instead.
4. Close the movable visor.
7 Transport
Transport the welding visor in its original packaging.
