B- SETTING CHART
This is located in the centre of the front panel. The chart shows how the welding process evolves. In each section of
the chart, an indicator light referring to the setting parameter of the respective section is displayed.
To change a parameter, turn the main control at the bottom of the front panel. Do not move the selector sharply, just
turn it gently until the indicator is positioned on the parameter you want to change. The display will show the current value
of the parameter. Press the selector button to choose the required parameter. The indicator light will start flashing, in-
dicating that this parameter is being changed. You can now increase or decrease the parameter value by just turning
the selector. Once you reach the desired value, press the button to save the value of the modified parameter in memory.
The light stops flashing and remains fixed. See setting parameter section for more information.
On the settings chart there are positions with double parameters, where it is possible to set level and time.
Pay special attention to the pilot lights of units to the right of the display.
C- wELDING PROCESS SELECTION
At the bottom of the settings chart, there is the welding process selection section. Press adjacent keys for MMA, mar-
ked in red, or TIG, marked in black, to select the desired welding mode. To select the polarity, press the corresponding
key again (the light signal will move one position to the right indicating the new current polarity selected). When swit-
ching from MMA to TIG process or vice versa, the previously set parameters for the process are maintained, i.e. you
can simultaneously set different power levels for MMA and TIG processes.
When you change the welding mode, the default parameter selected on the settings chart will always be the rated cu-
rrent. When you press the AC-AUTO key, TIG AC welding mode is validated by default.
D- PULSE SELECTION
The low frequency pulse mode makes a current pulse with a value of I1 during the period of time determined by T1 and
a base current, I2, during the set time T2. The setting range for both time periods ranges from 0.1 to 10 seconds.
The high frequency pulse mode makes current pulse with the values I1 and I2, but in this case the time during which
each level is supplied is determined by half the period defined by the pulse frequency.
Press the pulse selector repeatedly until you reach the desired setting. The selection evolves according to the following
figure:
SOLTER
SOLDADURA S.L.
TIG pulse mode selector is on the left of the main control. This key will only be operational
in the TIG welding mode. The TIG welding mode with pulsed arc is characterized by alter-
nating welding current levels, I1 and I2, depending on the frequency and/or times set. This
allows better control of the weld, giving better results in difficult conditions.
