When you hold the torch button down, after pre-gas time, the arc is started (by Lift-arc or HF) with the Istart current. The
Istart current level is supplied during period of time determined by the parameter Tistart. Then, the current value is in-
creased until it reaches Inominal (according to the slope up time). When you release the button, the current reduction
starts according to the slope down time set until it reaches the Istop value. The current level remains at the Istop level
until the Tistop time runs out. Finally, the gas valve will close at the end of the post-gas time.
Characteristic operation for 4T:
In this case, the arc will begin on the first pulse and remain while this continues (the machine will supply the Istart cu-
rrent). When you release the button, the welding current is increased until it reaches the Inominal value. The stop se-
quence will start with a new pulse (the current will be reduced to the Istop limit). The Istop level will remain as long as
the button is being pressed.
