5. Commissioning and operation
room temperature can lead to steady indication errors with constant ambient tempera-
tures and to varying indication errors with fluctuating ambient temperatures.
Permanent indication errors caused by the ageing of the measuring system can be
ignored, as they only account for a fraction of the indication accuracy.
5.8 Indication correction
An indication correction may only be carried out by the manufacturer or in adequately
equipped workshops by qualified personnel.
The electrical connection must only be made by qualified skilled personnel.
Connecting the switch via cable socket
Conductor cross-section max. 1.5 mm
The pin assignment is stated on the connection label of the thermometer
5.9 Adjusting the set pointer (with microswitch)
The adjustment of the set points is achieved using the adjustment key in the window.
By pressing and turning the adjustment button, the set pointers are carried along and
moved to the set point with the help of the adjustment pointer attached to the adjust-
ment lock.
The set pointers for the microswitches are freely adjustable over the full scale range.
For reasons of switching accuracy and the service life of the mechanical measuring
systems, the switch points should be between 10 % and 90 % of the measuring span.
As a result of surface oxidation on the contact surfaces, especially with intrinsically safe
switching (small voltages and low currents), flaws that can lead to contact erosion can
arise as a result of the developed isolation resistance and with higher contact loads.
