scrap, while maintaining alignment, until the top pole section (1) reaches the mark line on bottom pole section (3).
You must have a 5-1/2" (13.9 cm) overlap for proper assembly.
NOTE: IF A 5-1/2" (13.9 CM) OVERLAP WHICH ALLOWS THE HARDWARE TO BE ASSEMBLED IS NOT
ACHIEVED !! STOP !! DO NOT PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP! - CALL SPALDING CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR
ASSISTANCE.
Secure the pole sections together using the bolt (36), washers (37), and nut (38).
When properly pounded together, the pole sections must have a 5-1/2" (13.9 cm) overlap. Failure
to have required overlap will cause the poles to be unstable and/or break, posing a risk of impact
injury. If the minimum overlap cannot be achieved, do not move forward with installation and call
Spalding customer service for assistance.
