d) If shielding is not possible, appropriate filtering measures must be taken.
e) Make sure that no short-time overvoltages can occur on the signal and power supply lines
when the protective earth is connected to the shield on one side only.
4.2.3 Connecting the Connecting Wires
ATTENTION
• Before connecting the connecting wires, check the assignment of the single wires.
• After connecting, check the proper presence of the supply voltage and the proper functioning.
If the supply voltage is reversed, the shaft copying system will not operate.

4.2.5 Electrical connection
ATTENTION
The single wires must be connected according to the terminal assignment to an evaluation unit
or a controller.
The terminal assignments are located on the type plate; refer to chapter
Produktbeschreibung [} 43].
The LES02 sensor has two 2 connectors for the supply voltage and 2 connectors for the CAN
bus for direct deployment on the external evaluation unit. The LES02 sensor can be operated
with the PSU02 evaluation unit.

When confectioning the sensor line, always take care to ensure
sufficient ESD protection.
