Connection of Gas Shielded Welding
(1)Connection between welding power supply and power supply
Check each of the items specified in Article 2.2 Power Supply of this manual to confirm full comliance with the requirements.
(2) Connection between welding power supply and wire feeder
- In case of poor welding effect and even damage to the machine, please be sure to use our company's supporting wire
feeding device.
- Turn off the power supply switch of the machine before connecting;
- Reliably connect the copper joint of the welding cable of wire feeder to the output terminal "+" of the welding power supply;
- Reliably connect the copper joint of the grounding (workpiece) cable to the output terminal "-" of the welding power supply,
and the other end to the workpiece with screws and nuts.
- Reliably connect the control plug (seven cores) of the wire feeder control cable to the control socket (seven cores) of
welding power supply wire feeder, and then tighten the ring nut.
(3) Connection between wire feeder and welding torch
- Loosen the locking bolt at the socket guide nozzle of the wire feeding device, turn the arc cutting plane of the welding
torch tail toward the bolt, and insert it into the socket guide nozzle through the outlet coil jack on the front panel of the wire
feeding device. After inserting, turn the welding torch clockwise by 90° to make the bolt jam the tail of the welding torch,
and tighten the locking bolt with an allen wrench.
- Insert the switch wire connector on the welding torch into the socket (two cores) on the front panel of the wire feeder;
- Connect the gas-type fitting to the gas outlet port (gas valve joint) on the wire feeder, and then tighten
(4) Connection between gas cylinder and gas regulator
- Install and screw the gas regulator included in the accessories on the gas cylinder tightly to prevent gas leakage;
Insert the two-core plug on the gas regulator into the heating socket on the rear panel of the welding power supply.
- Connect the gas tube on the wire feeding device to the outlet of gas regulator, and then lock it with the supplied hose
clamp.
- Fix the gas cylinder on the gas cylinder bracket with iron chain, or at a self designated place.
- When welding with MAG gas, please use a mixed gas meeting the MAG welding requirements. In the case of mixing two
bottles of gas, a gas proportioning mixer must be used to avoid uneven mixing.
