4. Cleaning and maintenance
4�1 Cleaning
The exterior of the pump can be cleaned using a mild degreasing agent and a cleaning rag.
The cylinders, accessories and hoses can also be cleaned using a degreasing agent and a
cleaning rag.
4�2 Maintenance
Maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by expert and qualified personnel!
Lubricating rotating parts:
Lubricate all rotating parts with universal grease.
Changing the hydraulic oil:
The frequency depends on the type of applications and intensity of use.
The cylinders must first be retracted before changing the oil. Next, the reservoir must be
drained. Now rinse out the system with a little oil. Fill it up again with the new hydraulic
oil. We recommend using BETEX® Hydraulic Oil to ensure the correct type is used.
Hoses:
Regularly check the condition of the hoses. Damaged hoses must not be used. Cut it open so
that it is obvious to others that the hose is defective. Damaged hoses cannot be repaired. The
condition of the hoses must always be checked before use in flexible operations.
