WARNING
Any maintenance or repair work requiring the
motor housing to be opened must be carried out
only by an authorized service workshop.
f Maintenance or repair work carried out by an
unauthorized person can lead to the incorrect
connection of the wiring or other components,
which in turn can lead to accidents with serious
consequences.
f If the replacement of the supply cord is neces-
sary, this has to be done by the manufacturer
or his agent in order to avoid a safety hazard.
CAUTION
Never use a machine that is damaged in any way!
(Damage also includes a ripped or worn flexible
switch protection.
f Have a damaged machine repaired in an au-
thorised Festool workshop.

- Wrapped electric tools can be stored in a dry place
without heating, with temperatures not lower than
−5 °C (23 °F). Unwrapped electric tools can only be
stored in dry places with temperatures not lower
than +5 °C (41 °F), without sudden changes in the
temperature.
- To ensure the airflow is sufficient, cooling open-
ings of the motor must be always clean and free.
- The machine is equipped with special self-discon-
necting brushes. When the brushes are worn, the
power supply is automatically disconnected, and
the machine is stopped.
